Niger State Police Commissioner decorates 204 promoted officers
In a significant move to reward hard-working police personnel, the Commissioner of Police for Niger State Command, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, has decorated 204 officers recently promoted by the Police Service Commission (PSC).
According to a press release issued and signed by the state command's spokesman, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the promotions included one assistant commissioner of police elevated to deputy commissioner of police (DCP). Additionally, 10 superintendents were promoted to chief superintendents, 12 deputy superintendents to superintendents, and 181 assistant superintendents to deputy superintendents.
During the decoration ceremony held at the Force Headquarters in Minna, CP Danmamman urged the newly promoted officers to demonstrate increased dedication and responsibility in their roles. He emphasised that promotions come with added responsibilities and expressed confidence in the officers' abilities to meet the expectations of their new ranks.
CP Danmamman also highlighted the importance of enhanced monitoring and supervision of subordinates by the promoted officers. He advised them to prioritise the image of the force and contribute positively to improving policing efforts.
In their remarks, the beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC), the Inspector General of Police (IGP), and CP Danmamman for their recommendations and support. They pledged to intensify their efforts in protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians at all levels.
