Niger State Deputy Governor, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has given out the hand of the daughter of former Director General of Bago/Yakubu Campaign Organisation, Hon. Isah Sidi Rijau, in marriage.
The Deputy Governor was accompanied on the occasion by the Chief of Staff to Governor Umar Mohammed Bago and the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Usman Gawu, as well as other state government officials.
While handing out former Miss Masa'uda Sidi Rijau to the representative of the groom's family, Mohammed Bello, Comrade Yakubu Garba advised the new couple, Masa'uda and her husband, Mohammad Anas Garba, to build their home on Islamic foundation.
He added that they should be tolerant, respect one another, and not allow third parties into their marital affairs.
The wedding Niqqa was officiated by Sheikh Mohammad Nafiu Sauka-Kahuta and supported by Sheikh Mohammed Isah Dutsen-Kura and other Ulamas at his residence in the Sauka-Kahuta area of Minna.
The wedding was conducted upon the payment of N100,000 as dowry and confirmation of all medical test results of the couples as stipulated by law.
Special prayers were offered for the couple's happy matrimony and the leaders for Allah's guidance as they pilot the affairs of the state, as well as peaceful coexistence in the state and the country as a whole.
