Gov Bago swears in Chief of Staff, SSG, others, urges them to be steadfast
Niger state Governor, Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago, has sworn in the Secretary to the Niger state Government, the Head of Service and his Chief of Staff.
The governor also swears in his Deputy Chief of Staff and the Deputy Chief of Staff to the Deputy Governor.
The ceremony, which took place at the Government House Conference Hall, Minna, was attended by party officials, heads of government agencies, permanent secretaries, local government chairmen and party supporters.
The governor enjoined them to work extra hard to achieve the confidence and trust he reposed in them.
He said the appointees were his choices and they were not imposed on him, disclosing that they have passed his review and were found to have the capacity and integrity to serve in their positions.
Governor Mohammed Bago reminded the appointees that they must keep to his pace because he was a "workaholic", who will spare nothing to achieve the mandate given to him by the people.
He said his next set of appointees will be women, reiterating that women and youths will constitute the bulk of his appointments.
Those appointed and sworn in are Alh. Abubakar Usman Gawu as Secretary to the State Government, Engr Abubakar Y. Salisu as the Head of Service, and Usman Abdullahi Gbatamangi as the Chief of Staff.
Others are Mal. Sadiq Yusuf as Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, and Mal. Bello Ibrahim as the Deputy Chief of Staff, office of the Deputy Governor.
