Chief Justice of Niger State, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik, has presented a merit award to Deputy Chief Registrar Administration of the Niger State High Court, Hajiya Maryam Dasso Jibo, for her outstanding performance in improving the revenue generation of the Niger State High Court.
The chief judge also presented a merit award to Mr. Emmanuel Abu, an assistant registrar in charge of probate, for his outstanding dedication and commitment to duty.
Justice Halima, who described the overwhelming performance of the Deputy Chief Registrar as marvelous, charged her not to relent in improving better than what has been recorded.
In a brief ceremony that was held in her office on Monday, the Chief Judge disclosed that before now, the revenue generation of the High Court was about N1.1 million Naira but has since increased to about N12.9 million Naira in three months.
Justice Halima commended the performance of Maryam Dasso for living up to her responsibility in meeting the target of improving the revenue generation of the state high court.
The four-man revenue generation committee, which was constituted in September 2022, according to the Chief Judge, was aimed at ensuring proper accounting of revenue collections and possible ways of blocking leakages in revenue generation.
The four member committee headed by Maryam Dasso Jibo, according to the Chief Judge, has met the targeted revenue drive, which informed the presentation of the merit award.
She said the award was geared towards encouraging her to improve in revenue generation for the state high court and ensuring that her administration as the chief judge will continue to reward hard work at all times.
While congratulating the Deputy Chief Registrar for the award, the chief judge admonished her not to relent in improving on her performance.
