Niger Police command nabs four suspects for murder, cow rustling
Police operatives attached to crack squad of Niger State Command, have arrested four suspects in connection with the killing of one Nuhu Yakubu, who was said to have been missing for about three days, before his body was found and recovered from a bush around Gussase area of Maikunele, Bosso LGA.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Wasiu Abidoun, in a press release issued and obtained by Newsline Crime Correspondent, explained that the suspects were arrested by the team of crack squad after series of interrogations and painstaking inquiries were conducted by the police.
The suspects according to DSP Abidoun were; Aminu Dada, Umar Sule, Mamman Abubakar and Shehu Abubakar and were arrested at Labin Rafin Gwago via Garaku, Bosso, LGA.
The PPRO however pointed out that the suspects have confessed to the killing of the deceased while about 81 cows and 41 sheep suspected to have been rustled by them were also recovered.
The crack squad in furtherance to the case and based on confessional statement also raided some enclaves of the hoodlums around Katuna forest via Kaliko Lawu, Washa Forest areas of Bosso and Shiroro LGA, and in the process, three victims were rescued from Luwa Forest and reunited with their families.
The police state command therefore enjoined all Nigerlites and parents to be security conscious by monitoring their wards in order not to fall into the hands of hoodlums and become viticms of crime.
