New Niger Police Commissioner assumes office, calls for cooperation
The new Commissioner of Police, Niger State Command, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Dan-Mamman, has assumed office.
According to a statement made available to newsmen by the state Police Public Relations Officer PPRO, DSP Wasiu Abiodun, Mr Shawulu was the 37th commissioner of police to be posted to Niger state command.
The statement further explained that the newly redeployed commissioner of police took over from the former commissioner of police Ogundele Joshua Ayodeji who was recently promoted to the rank of AIG Zone 7, Abuja.
According to him, the new commissioner hails from Lupwe Takum Area of Dunga LGA of Taraba state. He was enlisted and appointed into Nigeria police as Cadet Assistant Superintendent of police, on 18th may, 1992.
CP Shawulu Danmamman, was at one time the Deputy Cimmissioner, Department of Finance and Administration in Niger state for four years as well as Commissioner Force Provost Marshal, Force Headquarters Abuja untill his redeployment to Niger state.
The New commissioner of Police on assumption of duties at the command headquarters in Minna, according to the statement, solicited for the support and cooperation of residents of the state towards ensuring a more secure environment.
