Chief Judge of Niger State Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik has ordered the Director of Land in the Niger State Ministry of Land and Survey to appear before the court on January 31, 2024, to tender some documents in respect of a land dispute between Urban Shelter Ltd. and Mahmud A. Usman.
The Chief Judge, who gave the order in the hearing of the matter yesterday, said the Director of Land should be made to appear on the next adjourned date to tender some relevant documents in respect of the disputed land.
Mahmud A. Usman and other members of the family who were plaintiffs in the disputed land approached the court to prevail on the court to intervene on the disputed land that has been a subject of litigation in the last seven years.
The matter had suffered several adjournments from one court to another in the last seven years before it resumed before Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik.
At yesterday's proceedings on the matter, Justice Halima Ibrahim Abdulmalik adjourned the matter for continuation of hearing and ordered the Director of Land in the Ministry of Land to appear with some documents on the next adjourned date.
She then adjourned the case to January 31, 2024, for the continuation of the hearing.
