Abubakar Kuso: A political path on footprint of Tinubu
By Manko Jibrin
Alhaji Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi Kuso is a politician, an ardent supporter and loyalist of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, even before he clinged power.
His political journey began at an early age in Niger State, and having understood the political terrain very well with his extraordinary sagacity as an explorer and a beacon of hope, Kuso became extremely thirsty to identify with the Tinubu political class and tutorship.
He saw the compassion and humanity in Tinubu, coupled with his exemplary performance in every responsibility saddled on him.
Indeed, politics across the world requires mentorship. Dr. Kuso, in his quest for self-discovery, believes that the only man who is worth his servitude and dedication is the personality in Asiwaju.
The purpose of this write-up is not to achieve a detailed journey of Dr. Kuso's political voyage but rather to mirror a summarised quintessential analysis of Dr. Kuso's faith in the leadership prowess and direction of President Asiwaju from a progressive perspective.
This long-term faith and loyalty have served as a catalyst for his rise among his peers in the corridors of power.
On the heels of the last election in 2023, Kuso played a key role in the electioneering campaign that led to the successful emergence of his apex principal in the number one seat of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. He did not only serve as the personal assistant to the Director General of the Presidential Campaign Council, Sen. Simon Lalong; he did more of his work mobilising for a victory that was ultimately secured.
Dr. Kuso is very young and energetic, brilliant and fearless, dogged and charismatic, smart and compassionate, humble, and a believer in the power of grass-roots politics.
Kuso's immense generosity led to the establishment of his "Kuso Memorial Foundation." Through this initiative, numerous acts of kindness have been extended to the needy and less privileged members of his community and even beyond, such as scholarships, educational and humanitarian support.
As a Renewed Hope Activist, Kuso has intervened in the lives of many youths and women in his locality, morally, financially, politically, and otherwise.
In recognition of his footprint achievements and his foresights into life, Dr. Kuso has earned the blessings of exemplary royal fathers from his immediate communities, earning the title of Ɗan Wadatan Nupe as conferred to him by His royal highness (HRH) and Chairman of the Niger State Council of Traditional Rulers, Alhaji Dr. Yahaya Abubakar.
HRH the Emir of Lapai, Alhaji Umar Bago, also conferred on him the title of Sadan Lapai.
His Bida Emirate title as Dan Wadata was further replicated by the District Head of Bosso, Mallam Mu'azu Adamu Laka, as a way of appreciating his simplicity and detrabilised political disposition.
Surely, Dr. Kuso's political transformation hasn't yet gone far; instead, it has just begun, becoming a giant with every single step taken.
