Well-being, happiness of people are priorities of my govt - Gov Umaru Bago
The Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has said the overall well-being and happiness of the people are the first priorities of his government.
The governor who stated this when the executive members of the State All Progressives Congress (APC), led by its acting chairman, Aminu Musa Bobi, paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House Minna, said his administration will work hard to diversify the economy through agriculture.
He said to get feedback from the people, he will soon embark on town hall meetings with all stakeholders in the 25 local government areas of the state to listen to their yearnings and aspirations.
Governor Umaru Bago, who commended the leadership of the APC at the state level, however, charged them to come up with a calendar of activities to promote its growth and development.
Earlier, the acting state party chairman said the party has passed a vote of confidence in the governor for his giant strides towards developing the state.
He defended the frequent travels of the governor, saying they were already reaping more results than expected and that the party would continue to throw its weight behind him.
He disclosed that the party planned to build a befitting state party office and called on the governor for support in that regard.
