Niger Police Command assures corps members of adequate security
Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman, has assured NYSC management in the state of adequate safety and protection of corps members serving ib Niger State.
CP Danmamman stated this when he received the state coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Abdulwahab Olayinka, who paid a courtesy visit to his office yesterday at the command headquarters in Minna.
The police commissioner said the leadership of the force in the state under his watch will not in any way compromise with the already cordial relationship it has with the scheme in the state.
Mr. Shawulu Ebenezer Danmamman disclosed further that the protection and safety of the lives of NYSC members in the state remained paramount, considering the crucial role of the scheme, which was tailored towards promoting peace and unity among the diverse cultures of corps members across the country.
He further explained that the command under him will continue to ensure the existing partnership that existed between the police and the scheme.
Speaking earlier, the NYSC coordinator in the state, Mrs. Abdulwahab Olayinka, said that her visit to the state command of the NPF was to solicit for the continued support and cooperation of the police to assist NYSC management in the state with security so as to ensure the lives and safety of corps members deployed to serve in the state.
She also commended the performance of the Nigerian police during the orientation of corps members and urged the police to sustain the pace of ensuring continuity.
