Businessman applauds Etsu Nupe for conferring traditional title on Gov Bago
A Minna-based businessman, Alhaji Hassan Usman Shiroro, has commended the Etsu Nupe and Chairman Council of Traditional Rulers in Niger State, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, for the conferment of Turakin Nupe on Farmer Governor Mohammed Umar Bago.
He stated that the title of Turakin Nupe conferred on the governor by the Etsu Nupe could best be described as a well-deserved title in view of the unprecedented transformation the state is presently witnessing under the leadership of Farmer Governor, Hon. Mohammed Umar Bago within the past seven months.
Alhaji Hassan Usman Shiroro made the commendation while speaking in an interview with Newsline online in Minna, stating that the title will spur the governor to further embark on more developmental projects that will improve the well-being of the state.
According to him, Etsu Nupe has made the right choice by seeing the governor worthy of conferring the Turakin title on him, stressing that the monarch has really proved that he is in tune with the reality of the transformation and New Niger Agenda of the Governor Mohammed Umar Bago administration.
Speaking further, Hassan Shiroro noted that the aggressive transformation of Niger State within just seven months in office has raised the hope of the people of the state of witnessing more developmental projects across the state before the end of the first four years of his administration.
He called on the people of the state to pray for the governor in his determination to give the state capital a new look through his new Niger and transformation agenda, emphasising that under the governor it will be reckoned with as a state of green economy as the governor dreams.
Alhaji Hassan Shiroro, while calling on members of the executive of the state to rally around the governor in his developmental strides, told them to be upright in their respective responsibilities.
He is of the opinion that Governor Umar Bago is committed to making Niger State compete with other states within the first four years of his administration, ensuring that with the support and cooperation of the people of the state, he will improve the infrastructure of the state under his first four years.
