Senator Sani Musa empowers 2868 Niger East constituents with N50000 each
The senator representing Niger East senatorial district, Mohammed Sani Musa, has flagged off 2024 empowerment for members of his constituency.
The empowerment programme, which took place at the Justice Legbo Kutigi International Conference Centre in Minna over the weekend, was a cash presentation of ₦50,000 each of the 2,868 constituents from Shiroro, Paikoro, Bosso, Munya, Rafi, and Chanchaga Local Government Areas of the senatorial district.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, the Governor of Niger State, Mohammed Umaru Bago, who was represented by his deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, commended Sen. Sani Musa for his philanthropic gesture aimed at empowering and bringing solace to his constituents.
Comrade Yakubu Garba said that the senator had done well in terms of representation, as evidently shown by the empowerment programme, which aimed at improving the livelihood of the people of the zone.
He urged the beneficiaries of the empowerment programme to make judicious use of what they were given to improve their livelihood.
In his remarks, Senator Mohammed Sani Musa pointed out that there was unity of purpose between the Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, and the National Assembly Members, disclosing that they have met and agreed to work in the same direction to bring dividends of democracy to the people and for the development of the state.
He further stated that the constituency projects of the National Assembly Members from the State will be in tandem with the direction of the State Government.
While appreciating the governor for giving the three senators of the state the opportunity to chair the distribution of palliatives in their various zones, Senator Sani Musa made it clear that he would suspend his own palliative distribution to the 2,053 polling units of his senatorial district until that of the governor was successfully carried out.
He also informed his constituent members that more empowerment programmes were on the way, as he assured them of good representation.
