Gov Bago pays Sallah Homage to Emir of Kagara, promises heavy investment in security gadgets
Niger State Governor, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, has said that his administration will continue to invest heavily in the purchase of security equipment to address the security challenges in the state.\r\n
\r\nThe governor stated this when he paid Sallah homage to the Emir of Kagara, Alh. Ahmed Attahiru Gunna II, at his palace in Kagara.\r\n
\r\nThe Chief Press Secretary, Mal Bologi Ibrahim, quoted the governor in a statement, saying his government has so far spent a lot of money on purchasing sophisticated gadgets that would help tackle insecurity in the state.\r\n
\r\nHe said the governor condoled with the Emir and the entire people of the Emirate over the recent killings in the Madaka Community by bandits, assuring that his administration was working round the clock to tame the security challenges bedevilling the state.\r\n
\r\nHe said his government would not relent in its agricultural revolution, which was aimed at increasing food production and security.\r\n
\r\nWhile acknowledging the support from the Kagara Emirate, the governor encouraged them to key into the initiatives of government at all levels and sustained their prayers for the nation.\r\n
\r\nHe described the Emir of Kagara as a selfless leader whose efforts in developing the Emirate remain undaunted, pointing out that his administration will continue to strengthen the already existing relationship with traditional institutions.\r\n
\r\nThe Emir of Kagara, Ahmed Attahiru Gunna II, commended the governor for improving the security situation in his area, which he said has encouraged farmers to return to their farms.\r\n
\r\nThe emir, who appreciated the visit, promised that his people would continue to support the people-oriented policies and programmes of the government and ensure that the governor succeeds.\r\n
\r\nThe governor thereafter attended the mini-durbar in some major parts of the town.
