NGSG commiserates with Abia State Govt over death of Engr Onu
Niger State Government has sympathised with its Abia State counterpart over the loss of its first civilian governor and former minister of Science and Technology, Engr. Ogbonnaya Onu.
Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago extended his state condolences in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Bologi Ibrahim.
He acknowledged the late Engr. Onu as one of the founding fathers of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), saying his death was a huge loss to not only Abia State but the entire country.
He described the deceased as a selfless, patriotic, and committed leader who, through his effective service to the people of Abia and Nigerians in general, carved a niche for himself.
The governor noted that the efforts of the deceased towards adding value to humanity will not be forgotten in a hurry.
While commiserating with his counterpart in Abia, Dr. Alex Otti, Governor Bago prayed to God to grant rest to the departed soul and also comfort his family as well as all those affected by the demise of Engineer Onu.
