The Niger State Commissioner of Works and Infrastructural Development, Hon. Suleiman Umar, has felicitated with workers in the state on the occasion of the 2024 May Day celebration.
Hon. Suleiman Umar, in his congratulatory message issued in Minna, commended workers for their resilience, diligence, and sacrifice in the course of fighting for the welfare of their members.
He noted that workers contributed in no small measure to the development of the state and the growth of its economy.
According to him, the state’s economy would not have been where it is today without the patriotic and unwavering commitment and dedication of workers.
He said that in spite of the threats and dangers workers face daily in the discharge of their duties, they have remained dedicated and committed to the state.
“On this occasion of Workers’ Day, I urge you to keep hope alive, knowing that you have an advocate in me, and our shared desire of birthing a government that will truly prioritise the interests of the workers is still much on course," he added.
He called on civil servants in Niger State to redouble their efforts in their services to the state, particularly the present administration under the leadership of Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, who, he noted, was working hard to reposition the state for sustained growth.
