In a significant milestone for Niger Tornadoes FC, Chairman Engr. Ibrahim Dada announced that the club has successfully settled all outstanding salaries and match bonuses owed to players during the 2023–2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Speaking at a reception held at the Club Secretariat in Minna, Engr. Dada emphasised the historical significance of this achievement. For the first time in the club's history, monthly remuneration and match bonuses were promptly paid to players at the end of the season.
Engr. Dada expressed his gratitude to the management officials, supporters, and the entire club for their unwavering commitment to maintaining the team's NPFL status. He commended their sacrifices and dedication, which contributed to the team's respectable position on the NPFL log.
As part of the club's forward-looking approach, Engr. Dada declared a three-week break for the players. During this period, those considering leaving the club were encouraged to make their decisions promptly, allowing the club to explore suitable replacements.
Regarding the upcoming technical report, Engr. Dada assured players that any potential exclusions should not be interpreted as a lack of skill. Instead, it would align with the technical crew's philosophy and vision for the team.
The chairman also expressed his appreciation to Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago for his unwavering support, which played a pivotal role in the team's successful NPFL campaign.
In separate remarks, acting technical adviser Majin Mohammed and team captain Ifeanyi Okoye echoed their gratitude to the state government and club management for their instrumental support throughout the season.
