Tornadoes confirms Coach Maaji as Technical Adviser
The Niger Tornadoes Football Club of Minna has officially confirmed and unveiled Coach Ma’aji Mohammed as its Technical Adviser. Coach Ma’aji had been serving in an acting capacity since the resignation of Coach Hamza Abara during the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season.
At the unveiling ceremony held at the Tornadoes Secretariat, Niger State Commissioner for Sports, Yahaya Ibrahim Gulbin-Boka, praised Coach Ma’aji’s contributions last season, which helped the team maintain its Premier League status. He emphasized the need for continued strong performance in the upcoming season.
Club Chairman, Engr. Ibrahim Dada, detailed the one-year probationary contract for Coach Ma’aji, with renewal based on performance. Benefits include an official car, accommodation, and a competitive salary. Engr. Dada urged Coach Ma’aji to build on last season’s experience and assured him of the management’s support.
Coach Ma’aji expressed gratitude to the club management and the state government, committing to surpass last season’s achievements with the support of all stakeholders. He remained optimistic about the team’s potential for success.
