NSCDC promotes 76 officers in Niger State: Commandant urges dedication, discipline
In a significant ceremony held on Wednesday, the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) decorated 76 officers with their new ranks. The promotions included 23 Assistant Superintendents, 11 Assistant Superintendents 1, 10 Chief Superintendents to Assistant Commandants, eight Assistant Superintendents to Deputy Superintendents, 15 Deputy Superintendents to Superintendents, six Superintendents to Chief Superintendents, and six Inspectors to Assistant Commandants II.
During the ceremony at the state command headquarters, Commandant Abdullahi Adamu Kambra congratulated the newly promoted officers. He emphasized that the annual promotion exercise is designed to enhance the performance of the officers. Commandant Kambra highlighted that their elevation is a call to redouble efforts in protecting the nation's critical assets and infrastructure, which are the core mandates of the corps.
He urged the officers to embrace their new responsibilities with professionalism, discipline, and commitment. He warned that any act of indiscipline would not be tolerated by the command leadership.
The Special Guest of Honor, DCG Cladius Yakubu (rtd), also congratulated the officers and encouraged them to remain focused and committed to their duties. He noted that their promotions were a result of hard work and urged them to maintain the momentum and avoid abusing their new responsibilities. Yakubu stressed that much is expected from those who have been given more, and nothing less is required from them.
