Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State has declared a State of Emergency on Education in the Niger North Senatorial District. The declaration was made on Thursday during his project tour of the district.
Expressing deep concern over the lack of schools in many communities, particularly in Bangi, Mariga Local Government Area, Governor Bago emphasized that the State of Emergency would address these educational deficiencies. He announced plans to establish more schools in the zone and renovate existing day schools, equipping them with modern facilities.
Additionally, the governor pledged to tackle water scarcity in the area and assured residents that his administration is working tirelessly to eliminate all forms of criminality.
