The Niger State Government said it has strengthened its relationship with Deutsche Bank in key development areas.
This was brought to the fore when Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, held a discussion with the Managing Director (MD), Sub-Saharan Africa, Deutsche Bank, Edward Marlow, and his team, at the Niger State liaison office in Abuja.
According to a press release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mal. Bologi Ibrahim, the areas of collaboration were rails, renewable energy, and healthcare services.
Governor Umaru Bago expressed optimism that the partnership will come to fruition as both parties are committed to developmental initiatives.
He appreciated the global lead partner for accepting to partner with the state.
The MD, Sub-Saharan Africa, at Deutsche Bank, Edward Marlow, explained that the multinational investment bank was keen on the development.
He said the firm has a special interest in the rail line that will connect Minna to the Federal Capital, Abuja.
The MD assured the state of the company's unwavering commitment and support.

Niger State Governor, Hon. Mohammed Umaru Bago, has approved the appointment of ace journalist and assistant editor with Newsline Newspaper, Alhaji Hamza Waziri, as Coordinator, Press Affairs.
In the appointment letter issued to the appointee and signed by the Secretary of the Niger State Government, SSG, the governor expressed confidence in the ability of Hamza Waziri to discharge his duties with the highest level of professionalism.
While congratulating him on his new assignment, Governor Umaru Bago reminded the appointee of the administration's desire to make tremendous change in the lives of the people of Niger State and its geography and invited him to key into the vision and harness his intellectual resources towards achieving the objectives.
The governor said mobilising the citizens through advocacy, enlightenment, timely and prompt dissemination of information, and engaging in robust discussions on the intentions, policies, and programmes of government were sine qua non to the delivery of democratic dividends.
He therefore urged Hamza Waziri to work with others in the government towards achieving such goals and to help the administration succeed.
Before his appointment as Coordinator Press Affairs, to the governor of Niger State, Alh. Hamza Waziri was a senior staffer in the editorial department of the state flagship newspaper, Newsline, and has garnered over 17 years of experience in the practice of journalism.
