Niger NUJ congratulates Media Aides to Bago, Yakubu, assures them of support

The leadership of Nigeria Union of Journalists, Niger State Council, has paid a congratulatory visit to the newly appointed media aides to Governor Umar Mohammed Bago and his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba at the Government House, Minna.
They seized the opportunity to once again commend the governor, Hon. Umar Mohammed Bago and his Deputy, Comrade Yakubu Garba, over the appointments.
The state NUJ Chairman, Comrade Abu Nmodu represented by the Vice-Chairman, Comrade Uriah Tsado Gana, said the NUJ was pleased with the appointment of media personels into the offices.
He said the union did not doubt the capacity of the media aides to deliver on the mandate of their offices, saying NUJ was willing to partner and support them to succeed.
Similarly, the NUJ council secretary, Comrade Usman Mohammed Chiji, said the NUJ was part of the Bago/Yakubu project from onset because they had no doubt, that the two will make good administrators, adding that they will continue to support the Bago/Yakubu administration to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
He equally informed them that they should not hesitate to reach out to the Union whenever they needs their support, saying the doors of the union will always remain open for them.
In their separate responses, the trio, Bologi Ibrahim, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Aisha Wakaso, Adviser on Print Media and Ummukhaltume Abdullahi Kuta, Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, said they were overwhelmed with joy seeing the leadership of their immediate constituency coming to show them solidarity.
While appreciating the NUJ for the visit they added that they look forward to close collaboration with the union for the success of the Bago/Yakubu administration.
In a related development, the National Council of Local Government Department of Works and Housing, through a letter signed by the National President of the Council, Engr. M.K Adamu, congratulated the Deputy Governor of Niger state Comrade Yakubu Garba over his election and inauguration, saying the council was not surprised with this feat, considering his antecedence when he steers the affairs of NLC in the state.
Also, in a congratulatory letter by the state Local Government Pension Board and signed by the Director General, Emmanuel E. Alamu, the board said it was confident the Deputy Governor's influence will make a positive impact on the state.
